Alberta Academy

MACDOWELLRUGBY Programs are Canadian-based rugby academies focused on developing high-performance athletes. We are open to any athletes of any skill level from beginner to experienced, providing athletes the opportunity to gain knowledge and ask questions of our position-specific coaches. There will be a focus on problem-solving in different game situations, discovering the intricate details of each playing position and the various responsibilities, skills, techniques, and physical and mental attributes that players require to play at the highest level.

We promote active learning and also the intellectual, physical and social development of the learners with a variety of coaching styles involving both coach-centered and athlete-centered components/game-based approaches. MACDOWELLRUGBY will provide each athlete with the best possible coaching staff to empower the players to reach their full potential via a high-quality and inspiring education, considering the age and ability of the players.

“Our academy will encourage all players aged 13 to 18 an opportunity to work with high-level coaches from a variety of backgrounds including Wolf Pack, USPORT, Professional, and Canada. Our 19-week academy will offer players a way to develop their skills, strength, speed and IQ and help them work into the Rugby Canada pathway”
