MacDowellRugby Receives Toronto Arrows Player Development Network Designation

MACDOWELLRUGBY RECEIVES TORONTO ARROWS PLAYER DEVELOPMENT NETWORK DESIGNATION
TORONTO, ON – MacDowellRugby is proud to announce that its Academy has been designated as a Toronto Arrows Player Development Network organization.
The Toronto Arrows Player Development Network recognizes specialized player development programs across Canada that create supportive and challenging environments that foster player and coach development, allowing individuals to develop into elite-level performers and promote core values such as accountability, work ethic and responsibility.
“The Arrows are pleased to welcome MacDowellRugby to the Toronto Arrows Player Development Network with our shared goals of growing the game of rugby at all levels and providing innovative pathways for players to develop to their fullest potential,” said Toronto Arrows Co-Founder and President, Bill Webb.
“The Academy and our players are extremely excited to see our program join the Toronto Arrows Player Development Network,” said MacDowellRugby Academy founder and coach, and former Canadian International player, Robin MacDowell. “Our students look up to players in Major League Rugby and aim to develop their values and physical skills as sharply as Arrows players. For our staff, aligning with Canada’s professional team to help support player development in our sport is a top priority.”
This designation from Canada’s first and only professional rugby union team will provide young, aspiring players from MacDowellRugby Academy with a boost toward realizing their dream of playing rugby professionally and internationally.

MacDowellRugby Academy is a school-based rugby academy where students earn phys-ed and leadership credits towards their high school diploma. Our program is holistic and focuses on equipping athletes with tools on and off the field to support their academic, athletic and life aspirations. This includes technical and tactical skills and knowledge, physical and mental health education, and life and learning skills. Student-athletes are supported daily by a full team of staff to meet all of their needs on and off the field, including rugby skills, strength and conditioning and mental skills coaches, as well as teachers and support staff to assist with their academics and life outside school. Our main goal for our aspiring athletes is to Dream big, Believe in themselves, which will ultimately help them to Succeed in rugby and life.
